The Stroops Doubleman Overspeed training set is made to help runners increase their stride length and stride frequency, the two most important factors for running faster. Overspeed training with Stroops allows you to make a faster start to your sprint, overtake defenders on the football field and much more.
The Doubleman Overspeed is made with two universal swivel straps to give the wearer the greatest possible freedom of movement. Both runners can rotate their bodies 360 degrees, even while walking.
These straps are then attached with a 6-metre Slastix resistance band, the pinnacle of safety and performance in resistance bands. The band has a stretch capacity of 3-to-1, allowing runners to start up to 18 metres apart.

In overspeed training, two users work their whole body against a resistance band, so it is crucial that the band you use is safe and reliable for intensive training.
Stroops has designed the Slastix resistance bands to be the very best.
Slastix resistance bands have a fabric safety sleeve around the band to protect it, both the band and yourself. The belt is completely covered, so it does not attract dirt from outside, dirt, dust or other elements. Moreover, the belt is protected from damaging factors such as tears, nicks, cuts or other abrasions, so your belt is durable and long-lasting and you can rely on it with every use.
Even if the tyre breaks (which rarely happens), the sleeve also ensures that the tyre stays inside. You don't have to worry about a broken strap snapping back at you, and the loss of resistance won't upset your balance.
Over-speed training explained.
Overspeed training is a popular form of speed training for athletics and can be applied in rugby, football and many other sports.
To train with the Doubleman Overspeed, the trainer attaches to one side of the belt with a Universal Swivel Belt. The runner then attaches with the other belt on the other side. At the start of the exercise, the runner and trainer should move as far apart as the resistance belt allows - up to 18 metres.
From there, both people start walking in the same direction, and the elasticity of the band will force the runner to lengthen their stride and move their legs faster.
Repeat the action from the beginning once the runner has caught up enough to loosen the strap.
